Qatar Children’s Science Congress (QCSC)
Qatar children’s Science Congress’ offer platform to students display their scientific skills. Students will be given opportunity to create a science project based on the main theme and a sub-theme and present them to scientific committee for evaluation. The best projects/students will be selected and awarded. The theme for each year shall be announced in advance. Sub-theme may have choices to choose.

GUIDELINES
A team should have only Two-Child Scientists.
Age criteria as on 31st Dec. 2024 for Junior category 10 to 14 years and Senior category 14+ to 17 years
A team of Two-Child Scientists carry out the research project based on the theme/sub-themes as per NCSTC guidelines under the guidance of a teacher/expert/scientist.
Orientation training by experts shall be arranged by SIFQ for the students and guides.
Projects shall be evaluated at multiple levels.
The top 3 teams from each category shall be announced as Qatar State Level winners.
The best 3 teams in Senior & junior category will qualify to participate at the IISF (India International Science Festival) to be held in December 2025.
The nominated team members should travel to India. The travel expenses (air tickets) will have to be borne by the parent of the Child Scientists. Local logistics, accommodation, and food will be arranged by SIFQ.
QCSC is open to children from all nationalities. Only IISF nominations are limited to Indian Nationals.

Main Theme:
“Science in Everyday Life”
The idea is to help students explore how science is intertwined with daily activities, nature, and future innovations. This theme encourages them to investigate the science behind what they see and experience every day.
Sub-Themes:
“Innovations for a Sustainable Future”
Focus: Renewable energy, water conservation, reducing waste, sustainable agriculture, and eco-friendly innovations.
Aim: To inspire students to think of ways science can help combat climate change and promote sustainability in their communities.
“Exploring the Science of Space and the Universe”
Focus: Space exploration, astronomy, planets, black holes, and future space missions.
Aim: To cultivate students’ fascination with space and the universe, encouraging curiosity about the cosmos and our place in it.
“Technology and the Digital World”
Focus: Artificial intelligence, coding, robotics, internet of things (IoT), and the future of communication.
Aim: To show students how advancements in technology impact their lives and how they can contribute to the digital future.
“Health and Well-being: The Science of the Human Body”
Focus: Human anatomy, nutrition, mental health, medical technology, and innovations in healthcare.
Aim: To teach students about the science behind staying healthy, understanding their bodies, and innovations in medical science.
“The Wonders of Nature and Biodiversity”
Focus: Ecosystems, wildlife, plants, biodiversity, and environmental conservation.
Aim: To inspire students to explore nature, learn about the balance of ecosystems, and the importance of protecting biodiversity.
